Description

Rookery Meadow is a true blank canvas venue, meaning you have complete control over every element of your special day. From a festival-feel tipi to a traditional white marquee, pizzas, afternoon tea or a three course meal, the choice really is yours. There is no corkage charge or hidden costs, so you have financial as well as create control. Campers are welcome whilst you can spend the night under the stars in our bridal bell tent. As you will enjoy three days exclusive use, why not have family bbq the following day? Our hire price includes help and support to source and book suppliers, plus help to set up, break down, and event management on the day. Benefit from free unlimited hire of props from our Barn of Curiosities, including the rustic old oak bar, tree of cake, milk urns, log slices, jam jars, straw bales, blanket boxes and much more. The lake features a jetty, row boat, island and lake walks, offering a beautiful spot for a ceremony or reception. Or have your marquee/ tipi away from the lake in the meadow, where ancient oak trees offer shade and there are two acres of grass ready for you to fill with guests and games. Whether you are seeking a relaxed day, festival wedding or classic marquee wedding, our flexible approach gives you a genuine chance to create something truly unique. Hire is £3,500, there is no VAT to pay and the price includes: - exclusive use for three days (Friday to Sunday) - generator and wiring - unlimited free prop hire from the Barn of Curiosities - support to research and contact suppliers - event manager on the big day - freedom to camp - bridal bell tent - shower room Facilities such as a marquee/ tipi, catering, drinks, entertainment, celebrant and flowers are not included and are hired in by each couple. We support you in seeking out the things that meet your needs and have a list of recommended suppliers to inspire you. The average total cost of a Rookery Meadow wedding, including hire, is £16,000.

When we became engaged there was no question about venues - the best place we could think of celebrating our special day was Rookery Meadow. Nowhere else could offer the freedom to choose everything we wanted, and nowhere else could match the beauty and tranquillity of the natural surroundings. We know that not everyone is as lucky as we are. Most people don’t have a fairy-tale meadow at the bottom of the garden. So we are giving you the opportunity to share ours.

We charge a fixed hire price of £3,500. For this you will enjoy three days exclusive use, room to camp, separate car park, unlimited hire of accessories from the barn of curiosities, help to source and contact suppliers, help to set up and breakdown, event management on the day, and a generator to provide power! You can also spend your wedding night under the stars in our bridal bell tent complete with wooden double bed, and you and any other campers will have access to a private shower, toilet and utility room.

Magical Venue for a magical dayMagical Venue for a magical day
Rookery Meadow could not have been any more than we could have wished for. We were really hoping to make our wedding very personal and our own and Gemma and Matt allow you complete autonomy to do that and the big added bonus is they help you do it! It's a magical setting that even on a rainy day that we had still looks beautiful. Gemma and Matt are the best managers, offer so much flexibility and are very hands on- not like you would get in most places. We would not have had the day we had without them. We were able to make the marquee completely our own, get our own caterers and bring all of our own booze to cater for everyone. We had a pub marquee added on where the venue offer an actual pub bar which looked amazing. We got to extend our wedding overnight and in the morning with our guest camping next to us in the field so got to relive it all the next day. I can not recommend this place enough for your wedding day. It was absolutely perfect, so much so that we can't help but take ourselves back there every year on our anniversary. Rookery Meadow is a stunning wedding venue. If you want a personalised wedding where you have a blank canvas and can create whatever you want then this is the place for you! It sounds overwhelming but with Gemma and Rob’s help and advise anything seemed possible! They have so many contacts for everything and anything to do with weddings. We had tipis, outdoor games, an oak bar, live band, the boat on the lake and camping for guests. Our wedding is still widely talked about with our friends and we loved it! You can create whatever you want. I would highly recommend. Rookery Meadow is a stunning wedding venue. If you want a personalised wedding where you have a blank canvas and can create whatever you want then this is the place for you! We searched everywhere for our perfect location and then we came across this meadow. It is absolutely stunning and really has to be seen to be believed. Gemma & Rob were incredible and their hard work really did make the day completely perfect for us. They have thought of everything and ensure that the day runs smoothly and they could not have done any more to help. We had the most amazing weekend and have gorgeous photos plastered all over our house to prove it (there were so many incredible shots that we could pick just a few to have framed!). I cannot recommend this place enough you will not be disappointed!We searched everywhere for our perfect location and then we came across this meadow. It is absolutely stunning and really has to be seen to be believed. Gemma & Rob were incredible and their hard work really did make the day completely perfect for us. They have thought of everything and ensure that the day runs smoothly and they could not have done any more to help. Rookery Meadow was just the perfect place for our wedding, space and freedom to create the most relaxed day you could wish for. Over a year ago and so many fond memories from the amazing Gemma and Rob who could not have done more for us both on the day and in the creation. The lake is such a great frontage for tipis and the addition of being able to camp over with friends and family just made for a perfect weekend. We cannot speak highly enough of these two...... Rookery Meadow was just the perfect place for our wedding, space and freedom to create the most relaxed day you could wish for. Over a year ago and so many fond memories from the amazing Gemma and Rob who could not have done more for us both on the day and in the creation. Our day at Rookery meadow was so perfect - Gemma and Rob pulled out all the stops to ensure we were 100% happy. The location is remote and peaceful with plenty of amazing photo opportunities - Gemma and Rob helped us with all the planning and offered great ideas and tips which made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. We really couldn't recommend this place enough - special, unpretentious, beautiful, value for money and our guests loved it! Being an outside catering company we attend many private weddings and functions but we are always delighted to accept clients at Rookery meadow. We know that Gemma and Rob will have thought of everything and checked through with the clients the full specification and ensure we are aware of everything for the event. They are more than organised. Rookery Meadows is not only picturesque. It is the most hospitable venue we visit and Gemma and Rob are simply a delight to work with. Being an outside catering company we attend many private weddings and functions but we are always delighted to accept clients at Rookery meadow. We know that Gemma and Rob will have thought of everything and checked through with the clients the full specification and ensure we are aware of everything for the event. Rookery meadow really is perfect! It is a beautiful and scenic venue to create whatever your heart desires. Gemma and rob were with us every step of the planning process and went above and beyond, we had so many wedding guests remark what wonderful hosts they were. Even when we hit a few bumps in the road ( like when the bar let us down 48hours before the big day) Gemma and rob just calmly offered advise and jumped to action to resolve the issue! I would highly recommend rookery meadow to everyone, it is truely beautiful and unique! Rookery meadow really is perfect! It is a beautiful and scenic venue to create whatever your heart desires. We have the pleasure of working with Gemma & Rob regularly through the year they really are an amazing couple and have the most incredible venue. We love how versatile their venue is there is so much space and the out look over the lake from the tipis is just amazing. We would recommend Rookery Meadow to anyone looking for a beautiful setting with a laid back approach it really is truly stunning. A rugby themed wedding! The whole day was relaxed with children and families playing games (including rugby!) in the meadow, a gorgeous tipi, live band and lots of smiles, before spending the night under the stars in luxury bell tents.

Don't worry about pleasing everyone else - it is your day so create what you want. If you don't want a first dance or a sit down meal, then don't have one! And equally important is enjoy every bit, from the planning to the day itself. It will go quickly so treasure every second.

Every wedding at Rookery Meadow is completely unique so they are all full of personal touches. One of our favourites was a handmade sweetshop built by the bride and groom.
